Hi, My name is Grant Barker. I have been acting and doing commercials for about three years now. Over the summer I worked in my first film, called Tommy and the Cool Mule. The film is written, produced and directed by Andrew Stevens. I played the role of Tommy Braxton, a boy whose father goes off to war and does not return. The family ends up in financial trouble. With the help of a talking mule named Jackie, my character is able to overcome some serious obstacles. It was SO much fun to work on this film. Siri Baruc played my mom and she was very talented and so cool. Kevin Sorbo (Hercules) plays Dodge Davis, a goofy sort of villain who is trying to take our farm away from us. Celeste Genco plays my sister Erin. Jordan Reynolds played Nathan Davis, who is a real bully to my character, Tommy. The great thing is that Jordan and I had already known each other from acting classes. He felt bad about being so mean, but since we already knew each other, it worked out fine. Watch for me on TV in my newest Star Wars Hasbro Lightsaber commercial, and a Hasbro Cosmic Catch commercial. These were both directed by Norry Niven. He is the best guy ever to work with, and everyone at Uproar and Stone Core was totally first class. Getting to do one Star Wars commercial was amazing - two was beyond my wildest imagination. WOW!! George Lucas - are you out there??? I am ready to work for you next!!!
In September, I got to do a Heely's commercial! I am not sure yet when and where it will be airing. The Brookshire's Grocery store commercial, produced by LDJ Film, aired over the summer.
In the commercial for Trinity Medical Center in Carrollton, I fall out of a tree, then go to the emergency room. That was FUN, and Shannon Murphy was such a cool guy to work with! The make-up artist made me look all scraped up, and they put a pretend cast on my arm.
